Paper Straws

​Funded by The Roundhouse following a winning pitch made to The Last Word Film Fund.

Paper Straws is a socio-political drama about corporate greenwashing and the impossible dilemma of choosing between career success and one’s moral code.

Production was originally set for March 2020, but Covid-19 restrictions delayed the shoot all the way until March 2021.

Laurie has since remained connected to The Roundhouse through The Roundhouse Trust.

The Queue

The Queue is a sci-fi dystopian drama about survival in a low-trust society and class segregation.

Reclaimer
 is a character-driven sci-fi drama about two young women fleeing an isolated cultist society and the hands of its megalomaniacal leader.

Written in the wake of the Brexit referendum, it explores the question of what happens to a society when it cuts itself off from the world.
